Bag mount for wheelchair

When you are in a wheelchair you need some convenient way to store your belongings. Many people hang a backpack on the back of the chair. However it is difficult to get something quickly out of it. Also it is difficult to keep an +"eye" on it. Things can be easily stolen. You can also hang a pouch under an armrest outside the chair. This has the risk of riding it off or damaging it when you have to go through a narrow passage or it interferes with moving the chair etc. Putting it on the inside under the armrest takes precious seating space away. In the internet I found a company that has a good solution. Put the bag on a mount on the inside on the top of a foot holder. I bought one of these products and immediately wanted to put my own bags on it. So I designed the part that is on the bag. From one comes the other and I reverse engineered also the original design. Especially I changed the mounting system because of availability of parts.  I must admit the original method of clamping to the frame of the wheelchair is excellent. My method still needs to be proven in daily use. Here is my complete design Holder this is the main part it needs to be strong print it with ABS or PETG. 0.2 mm layer, 30% infill, no supports. there is a right hand and a left hand holder. Print the one you need. Slot This accepts the plate mounted on the bag. It also needs to be strong. Print with supports everywhere, support distance set to 0.2 mm. Layer height 0.1 or 0.2 mm. Locking ring This prevents the bag to dislodge inadvertently. Print with 0.1 mm layer, no supports. Base plate. the outside part to be attached with a base plate to the bag you want to use. Print with 0.2 mm layer, supports with 0.2 mm distance, 30% infill. Back plates. The inside part of the base plate. I made a big and a small one, depending on the size of your bag. Print with 0.2 mm layer no supports, 30% infill. Adapters This is in case the fit of the holder to the frame of the wheelchair is not optimal. I designed three different ones: Normal, small and Oval (for oval tubing). Print 0.1 mm layer, 100% infill, no supports I added one that gives better support because of sidwalls. Additional material 1 cm of M10 thread. Cut a slit in one end to be able to put in in with a screwdriver. M3 x 10 bolt 2 Cable binders max 5 mm wide. Use steel ones. The plastic ones are stretching too much. 4 blind rivets (you can also use screws etc.) Assembly Print all parts, orient them correctly on your build plate. Clean up all parts for sharp edges etc. and remove supports. Thread the M3 hole. Rethread the M10 hole. Put holder, slot and locking ring together with the M3 screw. Orient the slot so that it will be vertical with the opening up. Select the best fitting adapter or use none. Screw the M10 bolt up. Mount the holder on the foot rest bar with the tie wraps as tight as you can. Tighten the M10 bolt, but not to much. Mount the base and back plates on and inside the bag you want to use. Attention, this design is only for personal use. It has been reverse engineered from a commercial available product. When you make improvements please share and inform me.
