I'm excited to post my first thing! I hope someone finds it useful. Filament spool holder for ender 3 v2, but I think it would work on other printers too. Note: I had the bolts, nuts, washers, and bearings lying around. The bearing I used were 'bad' (for their previous purpose in a table saw motor) but they are find for these low rpms. I just cleaned I don't recommend buying these parts just for this build, but to each his own. Material list: (Item - Quantity) 6203 ball bearing - 2 1/2 in. x 5-1/2 in. Galvanized Hex Bolt - 1 1/2 in.-13 Galvanized Hex Nut - 2 1/2 in. Galvanized Flat Washer - 2 Printing: (Part - Quantity) Bearing Roller - 1 Bearing bushing - 2 End Cap - 1 Long Bearing Spacer - 1 Short Bearing Spacer - 2 (at least) Assembly: (This diagram is from top (bolt hex head) to bottom (bolt threads) (The list looks long, but it's very simple. You could figure it out by looking at the pictures.) Bolt hex head Short Bearing Spacer Bearing bushing 6203 bearing (fits over above bushing) Short Bearing Spacer Long Bearing Spacer Short Bearing Spacer Bearing Bushing 6203 bearing (fits over above bushing) Short Bearing Spacer Hex nut Flat Washer Spool mount on 3d printer Flat Washer Hex nut End Cap Finger tighten the first nut, holding all the spacers and bearings in place. Slip on the washer, guide the threaded bolt through the 3d printer's spool mount. Slip on the second washer, and thread the last hex nut, with the end cap. Finger tight is fine. Tip: If the spool is loose on the bearings, try a small piece (or two) of paper between the bearing and the bearing roller while you slip the bearing roller over the bearing. I did this on one bearing. If the roller fits too tight, it would be difficult to disassemble. Some Picture explanation: The black color pencil represents the 3d printer's spool mount My long spacer failed mid print, so I printed extra short spacers to make up the space. Pictures are of version 1 (un-published) I added an extra lip to the bearing roller. I didn't re-print it, but I feel it's needed because with v1 the spool walks and rubs against the 3d printer spool mount. I painted my washers black. Questions, comments, concerns? Let me know.
