If you find a comfortable position with the ball joints, you can modify the f3d file provided and adjust some of the measurements (between points of the ball joint) to make a permanent version. Some lubricant for the threads is recommended, graphite appears to work. Be aware that you need to tighten the ball joint significantly in order so it does not rotate in use.
