This is a jar lid strap for a 4 cup Ball Mason Jar, without spring retainer. The strap is removed with the lid and if you are so inclined you could microwave jar (such as for honey). Specifically this strap slides on from the side locks and locks into the spring retainer grove and keeps it air tight.
