Bamboo is a 3D printable modular and vertical hydroponic garden from which, from home, you can grow crops taking advantage of the benefits of hydroponics. Its modular design allows you to play with its height according to the space of your home, with the combination of vegetables to grow according to your needs, and its orientation for optimal use of sunlight. In it you can grow from aromatic plants to vegetables such as lettuce, leeks or spinach, vegetables such as carrots, tomatoes or zucchini and even fruits such as strawberries and grapes. Bambu is therefore a sustainable, compact vegetable garden with sufficient capacity for profitable production. (You can check out more information about bamboo on my instagram account @creaserra). /////////////////////////////////////////// For bamboo operation, an aquarium pump is required, which should be attached to the bottom of the base container (base.stl) and an outlet pipe should come out of it to pump the nutrient water to the bamboo top (in general any aquarium pump would do, but you should check that it gets to pump the water up to the desired height of the orchard). The base cap (basetop.stl) features a hole to pass through for the electrical power cord that will connect the pump to your household outlet. This hole could also be used to pour in water as it is consumed or to introduce nutrients. The pump outlet tube should be inserted into each of the modular pots (bambu.stl) as the garden is being assembled until it reaches the last pot or bamboo top (bambutop.stl). At this point the PVC tube-hose which is usually also sold as aquarium equipment is cut and finally the system is closed with the lid (uptop.stl). Once bamboo is mounted and the flow of water running through the garden thanks to the action of the pump is started, it is time to start cultivating. The crops can be incorporated directly, by the roots, into the containers of the pots (planter.stl) without substrate or they can be filled with leca balls or expanded clay to achieve a better fixation of the plants.
