# Bambu P1S Hood Prop ### What is the purpose of the P1S hood prop? Actually, I only designed and printed this model on a caprice; I find there is no particular reason to use this tool, though some people may find it helpful. I encourage you to close the top cover at all times to mitigate the inherent plate warping issue characteristic of the Bambu P1 series, even if you print only with PLA. ### Printing instructions: Use the default slicer profile (enable support); print vertically. The hinge is print-in-place. It is recommended to print with PETG or other higher performing plastics. The example part was printed at 0.16mm without issues. In case you are wondering why the slot hole exists, it is for routing peripherals to the AP board. Plugging of the hole is presumably harmless. ### Modifying length or fit: I have included the source design file in the spirit of good faith. You can adjust the model's length or fit to your liking. Note that good modeling practices are not necessarily followed in the source file. Be cautious and observant of the relationship between length and panel stability. Make sure safety measures are in place to prevent panel fall.
