Baofeng Car Charger

I couldn't find a car charger for the Baofeng UV-5R GMRS radio. The manufacturer sells a table top base with a cigarette lighter plug as a car charger. It didn't make any sense since there wasn't any place to place it in my Jeep and the radio would bounce out of it when driving offroad. I designed this charger so it would engage the case of the radio and lock on to it using the belt clip. I removed the electronic PCB from the original Baofeng charger base and modified it to fit into the new 3D printed charger housing. The modification is simple. I cut the PCB in half and re-soldered the wires for the charging contacts and power connector. The power connector needed to be removed from the scrap part of the PCB and wires needed to be added to allow connection to the charger PCB. I made several models before the final version. This model fit the radio very well and works perfectly.
