Are you a HAM wanting to go mobile with your Baofeng UV-5R or other 21mm belt clip mobile tranceiver? Our sturdy UV-5R clip mount is up to the task of keeping your radio secure in your vehicle over rough roads and obstacles, and maintains the flexibility of fast removal when you need to quickly access your radio. The clip hole dimensions are optimized to balance limiting movement of the radio and rapid retrieval. We recommend printing at 40% or higher rectilinear infill for greatest strength. Our tests showed a 10x factor of safety for common forces encountered in moderate off-road driving with the Baofeng configured as stock with a low-capacity battery, so the only practical limit is how strong the adhesive is. We do not currently offer a screw-mount version, we recommend 3M automotive adhesive for easy removal and high strength.
