Barbie Doll Earring

Barbie Doll Earring

My daughter has a Barbie doll that wears removable earrings. Of course, she lost one. So I set about crafting her a replacement. If your Barbie has holes in the ear, these little plugs can jam straight into the doll's head and end up looking like nice little ear studs. This is modeled after the one that wasn't lost. (photos forthcoming... everyone's asleep now so I can't go take the doll) Print Settings Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Printrbot Plus Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1mm Infill: 100% Notes: I printed on a Printrbot Play at the highest quality I could muster - 0.1mm layers at 30mm/s. Do not use a raft, because it will be impossible to remove the earring from it. I used painter's tape and purple glue stick with good success. I printed one at a time, because printing this tall narrow thing vertically had me nervous. Plus it only took a couple minutes. How I Designed This I used Microsoft 3D Builder, imported some basic shapes, and moved them around until I got what I wanted. Took 8 prints and 5 designs to come up with this one but it looks great.
