Barker Dam Inscription

Barker Dam Inscription

myminifactory

This inscription was carved into the top of historic Barker Dam located in Joshua Tree National Park. This carving commemorates the raising of the dam in 1949-50 by the Keys family. The original dam was built in 1900 by CO Barker. The dam creates one of the only water sources in the desert park, and is one of the most popular hikes. I took this scan with 15 photos, processed in Agisoft and then solidified using Blender. We talked about making 3d models like this and a whole lot more about 3d printing on the 3D Printing Today podcast available on iTunes, Stitcher radio or direct from the source at http://threedprintingtoday.libsyn.com/
