# Barn Door Kit Rail Jump Blocks and Floor Guides ## What is it for? - The rail jump blockers go below the hanger wheel and rotate under the rail from an offset so that they make it impossible for the door to come off the rail when positioned below it, but can be rotated out of position to allow the door to be removed when needed. - The Floor Guides are meant to keep the doors from swinging freely and or hitting the wall. ### Rail Jump Blocks - screw one end to the top of the door in such a way that it can be rotated out of the way of the rail to allow for removal. ### Floor Guides - These are set up to be screwed into the stud behind the baseboard, so that you do not have to add permanent holes to the floor. - Pre drill the base board so that screws passing through it do not crack it. - Ensure the screws used are long enough to through the baseboard, into the stud behind it and grab enough purchase to be solid. Do not rely on screwing only into he baseboard. - Screw caps are meant to be lightly tapped into place over the screw holes after it is mounted. ## Fitting - These are scaled for my doors. Yours are most likely different. I tried to keep the models simple enough that they can be scaled in the important directions easily. - This design likely will not work this way if your floor gap is not large enough for the screw holes in the lower portion of the floor guides. - If this is the case, it should be pretty simple to move them up into the upper portions and use the screw caps to cover up the necessary screw driver hole. ## Attributions The Floor guide is a redesign of https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4629209
