This design is made so that there is extra reinforcement around the weakest joints. Other barrel extensions that I downloaded all failed at the thread joints, so this one should be a lot stronger. I would recommend printing with a brim and no supports. Let me know if you need any changes or want me to make other sizes/shapes.
