Base for a small drill or soldering iron
thingiverse
Made a base for a small drill and the sodering iron that I am using for the thread inserts in 3D prints. The rods were not printed but I used household materials and a long spring that I had laying around. The fasteners were: 4 wood screws for the base, 2 M4 bolts with nuts and washers on all sides for the handle and lever, 2 wood screws to attache the thicker rod (used the plastic rod from the old kitchen paper holder), 1 flange-head self drilling screw to attache the handle to the top base, 2 M3 nuts bolts and washers for attaching the drill/sodering iron to the base. Tips: pre drill the holes if you are using house hold items to assemble it, use a small amount of thick lubricant on all friction surfaces (I used vaseline). If anyone needs a modification to this design, I will be happy to make it!
