Basic Picture Frame 9x12

Basic Picture Frame 9x12

thingiverse

This is a basic picture frame for 9"x12" pictures. It will cut a bit off of the edge (~.5") so be wary. I designed this to print on the bed of an Ender 5. Print each piece at 1000% size for accurate 9"x12" picture dimensions. To make a complete frame you will need to print 2x each corner piece and 4x joiners. There are 3 types of joiners one with a larger nail hole, one with a smaller nail hole, and one without a hole. Align the frame corners in a square. Insert the joiner pieces with the beveled edge of the nail hole facing towards the inside of the frame (away from where the frame will contact the wall). When you are inserting the joiner pieces you can use glue to ensure a permanent fit or leave them with a friction fit so the frame can be disassembled. If the friction fit is not enough you might try putting a thin sheet of paper in the joined area to help the pieces stay. I am in the process of printing the first print and will upload images for instructions on how to assemble the frame when it is done. For those brave enough to try without instructions, the assembly is fairly straight-forward.
