Bass drum pedal

The story behind: I used Jojo Mayor’s design Perfect Balance to recreate this pedal. All the inspiration was taken from Sonor’s pedal, please make sure you check it out! Many details are derived, though I had to come up with a new pillar design, suitable for 3d printing. As you can see, it is split into six parts, printed in a way, that ensures strength and minimal layer strain. The rotating mechanisms of the hoop clamp and footboard had to be replaced with a compliant mechanism (which I do recommend printing in PETG). Unfortunately, footboard compliant joint does not appear to be very long-lasting, so you would probably have to change it. Recommendations: Before printing all the details, make sure your shafts, bearings, nuts, and screws fit the clearance_test part. The holes for the screws are a bit larger so that you can freely insert them. Keep in mind, that clearance_part should be printed with pretty much the same layer height as in your other parts: making it bigger will result in decreasing the diameter of holes. Still, large parts, such as stiffeners, heel_plate, pillar_p1, etc. may be printed with 0.28mm layer height. For other details, 0.2mm is recommended. Make sure you use supports for these parts: 1. pillar_hoop_p1 2. hoop_clamp_p2 3. pillar_p2 4. beater_holder All the stl's are in printing orientation! No need to rotate them! Things you will need to purchase: 1. Shaft, 140mm, 8mm in diameter (preferably a steel one) 2. Shaft, 310mm, 6mm diameter, 2 pieces 3. Shaft, 250mm, 6mm diameter, 2 pieces 4. M2 screw, 20mm, 1 piece 5. M2 nut, 1 piece 6. M4 screws, 15mm, 11 pieces 7. M4 screws, 20mm, 8 pieces 8. M4 screws, 30mm, 4 pieces 9. M4 screws, 40mm, 2 pieces 10. M4 nuts, 28 pieces 11. This is not a professional drum pedal!
