Four bats suspended on slender threads form intriguing shadows on the wall. Design inspiration was drawn from Thingiverse's unicorn plotter. Single-line images are converted into plastic (PLA/ABS) drawings with five layers for strength and lightness. Watch a short video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skxY-EhkV6c. To print the bats, edit the gcode file according to your printer's specifications. Straighten PLA filament if needed by immersing it in hot water and cooling down on a sink while pulling straight. Connect two arms with a printed connector piece, clean up as necessary. Attach bats to the arms using thin threads of glue-secured PLA.
