Battery busbar holder

This is a mounting bracket for 25mm (1") wide copper bus bar to connect battery banks together (household solar, RV, off-grid, etc.). Allows the battery banks to be ganged together to combine their power. This will hold up to a 26mm wide rectangular bus bar up to 13mm (1/2") thick. Mine are 9.5mm (3/8") thick. This bracket is mounted with standard 37mm (1.5") #6 drywall screws to a flat surface, and the bolts to hold the bar and the battery cables are M8 bolts. Could also be 5/16-18 bolts, nearly identical in size to M8. I used a 35mm M8 bolt on each end of the bar to attach it to the bracket. This bolt threads into an M8 nut placed in the slot near the bottom of the bracket. There are 3 small holes on the top edge which allow you to attach a plastic cover to keep things from shorting out the battery connections. These holes are sized for #6 sheet metal screws up to 19mm (3/4") deep. My busbar has threaded holes starting 28.5mm (1-1/8") from one end and on 19mm (3/4") centers all the way down. The mounting holes are 9mm (3/8") from each end of the bar, and are smooth for the M8 bolt to pass through and into the captive nut. The hex head bolts I used for the connections have 15mm (5/8") of threads below the head. Handy chart to tell you what size busbar will carry the amount of current you need to handle: https://www.busbar.com/resources/copper-ampacity/ My 3/8" x 1" bar will handle 510 amps!
