Battery Capacity Tester Case

The Geekcreit Battery Capacity Tester module is sold without a case. It can be used without a case, but the internal components will be better protected in some kind of enclosure. Here is my 3D design of a suitable case for the module.

Assembly Care into the 3D Case:

The battery under test (BUT) battery mount needs to be removed from the PCB during assembly, otherwise the board won't be able to slip into position.

Before soldering the BUT battery mount back into position, position the button extensions onto their respective buttons.

Finally fit the BUT battery mount into position.

The text layer is secured in place via thin double sided tape.

The screws are self taping 3.5mm x 15mm. Two screws are shortened to 8mm. The shortened screws are to be used as the screws at the bottom of the case.

The "+" button extension is partially obstructed by the power switch. Cut a small 1mm incision in the button extension skirt and all will be good.

To make the print result more interesting, I do a filament colour swap near the end so that the raised text is printed in another colour and make it more visible. The filament colour swap is setup in your slicer software. Setting up the filament colour is easy in PrusaSlicer, other slicers probably, too.

My print is made in PETG 1.75mm Aurarum silver and black filaments, with 0.2mm layer height and 100% infill on a PRUSA I3 MK3S printer.

I hope you can find this design useful, too.

Remember to leave me some feedback or even a tip to keep me enthused to make more of these drawings.

Print instructions

To make the print result more interesting, I do a filament colour swap near the end so that the raised text is printed in another colour and make it more visible.
