Battery dock clips that allow TGA "Zest Plus" and possibly other 2 battery Mobility scooters to be charged whilst removed from the scooter. (The official dock is up to £200 UKP) NOTES Designed so that the polarity can't be accidentally reversed, but someone probably could if they tried hard enough Both batteries must be connected to charge The left and right look very similar and can be clipped on in the reverse position. The polarity will be correctly maintained, but they won't stay on or fit properly. They can be wired with the plug to the left or right. If wiring plug to the right ity may be better to cut the +ve wire rather than the -ve wire as shown in the photos. It helps to mark the +ve with a coloured dot, but not essential. PRINTING NOTES Supports will be needed Prototype was printed with supports designed into the STL file and Micky mouse ears in ABS The back panels can be reversed. 5 spots of CA glue permanently secures. NON PRINTED PARTS 4 x 1.6mm copper clad circuit board (single or double sided) cut to 23mm x 19mm 1 x 3 pin female XLR cable mounted socket (professional microphone type) 3 Zip ties 1 Metre sheathed 2 or 3 core flex cable (~1.0 mm Sq) Earth is not used ASSEMBLY NOTES round over edges of the PCB to help insertion to battery terminals if PCB is not a tight fit, glue may be needed One sided PCB may be either way round Zip ties with a drop of CA glue to secure gives cable strain relief Check battery polarity and charger polarity with a multimeter The batteries must connect in series NOT parallel with a link between the positive of one to the negative of the other. The prototype charger is +ve to XLR pin 1, and -ve to XLR pins 2&3 (joined)
