Battery cup for Ikea's Eneby Battery

Battery cup for Ikea's Eneby Battery

thingiverse

Ikea makes a cheap and powerful battery for their Eneby bluetooth speaker and I wanted to make a connecting cup for it. This could in turn be connected or adapted to anything requiring a 14.4-16.8 volt power supply, such as some cameras, sound recording equipment, lights, power tools, etc. Some extra parts are needed for connecting the battery. I used some found steel strip which is about 4mm wide and 0.7mm thick to make the connection to the + and - pins on the battery through two holes in the cup. They can then be bent, soldered and glued into place. The battery can be charged by the speaker or through the cup using any 14.4 volt lithium charger, such as the Imax B6 or similar. The battery costs around $20 is rated at 14.4V, 37Wh. Max current draw is 3.1A.
