A simple crash that doesn't even damage the blades can result in the holding hooks to break, which is what exactly happened to me. A new battery module costs more than $50, whereas there is nothing wrong with the cells. So, I sat down and redesigned the battery shell. It definitely cost me more than $50 in time and effort, but I took it up as a challenge to save the battery. I originally planned the shell to be printed on an FDM printer, but the thickness constraints made it impossible. The shell has a thickness of 0.6mm, so it is best 3D printed using a resin printer with ABS-like resin. I used my Anycubic Photon Ultra which did a great job. I retained the original button and the foam mask for the LEDs. Leave your suggestions in the comments section.
