Beaglebone Black Case

Beaglebone Black Case

A very compact case for the Beaglebone Black. Made in two halves and is held together with four screws. Instructions The bottom half took about 45 minutes to print on my RepRapPro Mono Mendel. I printed it with a layer height of 0.3mm. I then drilled the holes through with a 2.5mm drill bit, then countersunk from the bottom using a 5.5mm drill bit. The bottom is designed with some supporting material in the cutouts, but was printed using a single print head. This needs to be cut away with a sharp knife. Be warned I nearly lost my fingers and broke the case doing this. Then I printed the top half using the same 0.3mm layer height which took around 1 hour 45 minutes. I ran a 2.5mm drill down into the fixing holes. Be care not to let the drill go all the way through the top. Then place the Beaglebone in the bottom part, place the top part over the Beaglebone. Use four No 4 x 5/8" self tapping screws to hold the lid in place. Job done.
