Bearing Cover Plates

Bearing Cover Plates

I have several bearings just lying around in my parts drawers, and some of them were missing the plastic cover that hides the balls inside. I would rather not have them used, and open for dirt and debris to get inside and mess with the smooth function. So I took a few minutes to design and print my own covers. These covers are for ball bearings that are 22 mm x 7 mm (though I imagine that the thickness doesn't matter) with an 8 mm center bore. They were printed at .1 mm layer height, with a .4 nozzle. The material I don't think matters all that much as long as it fits whichever temperature range these will be used in. Also sorry for the photos, my camera just did not want to focus for some reason.
