This spinner started as a project my 11 year old daughter was taking on. She planned to print a spinner with a bearing cap design her teacher (source of remix - thanks to theroar!!!) had made. When her first caps didn't turn out quite as expected I showed her how to spin the part - without a bearing - using her caps. She ran with that concept and perfected the spacing between the spinner body and the bearing surface. Thus her first "thing" was born and it is shared! Because the parts touch, it probably is a good idea to print them from dissimilar materials, just to head off the chance of squeaks, though to be honest we haven't tried printing all the parts from the same material or material type - the spinner body is nGen and the cap "bearing" is esun PLA. Update 3/25/2017: Added caps as individual files. Spinner_Cap2 has been revised to be slightly taller on the hollowed cylinder. Originally printed ngen spinner had local delamination on the first layer which affected the height of Spinner_Cap2. The design should snap together fully and spin freely. The assembled cap should fit well with any spinner that has a thickness of 7mm and a 22.2mm diameter hole (standard bearing size hole). You may need to trim the first layer squish material out of the central spinner hole.
