Bebop 2 Base Plate

Bebop 2 Base Plate

thingiverse

This is a universal mounting base plate for underneath your Bebop 2 drone. It clicks into place so you don't need to modify the drone frame. There are two 3 mm holes at the front and two holes at the back. At the back there are two M3 nuts inserted. This way you can attach anything you like to carry with you. I plan to make various kind of gadgets and will incorporate the links here as they come into existence. The screw holes are positioned 34.5 mm from each other left to right, and 35.5 mm front to rear. The nuts lock into the design so you only need to tighten the screws. If you leave the base plate on without anything attached, it is wise to insert some dummy screws in order not to lose the nuts. The whole assembly weighs about 10 grams. Important note: Whatever you attach, make sure the sensor has an unobstructed view. Check out my designs of stuff to attach: GoPro mount: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2139301 09-09-2017 Update: I removed the two smallest holes on the sides. That way it comes out a little cleaner and it doesn't add that much weight anyway. Check out Base Plate V2. Print Settings Printer: Custom Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.5 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layer height Infill: 100% Notes: Since the base plate is only 2 mm thick you have to align the support structure density and the positioning of the printbed in order to get the supports exactly right in the large central hole. I have added two screenshots of the slicer preview to illustrate the desired support and its location. Unless you have a very good tuned printed, then you may not even need support.
