BED LEVELING PROBE

This design bears striking resemblance to probes found on Computerized Coordinate Measuring Machines and Computer Numerical Control measuring machines. Working with these machines, I thought it would be exciting if my printer also utilized a probe system. To achieve this, I created two bracket files - one without holes for the end stop and another with predetermined holes. I printed one bracket without holes and drilled them to accommodate the rod. The other bracket remains untested due to its hole configuration. Design Details The bracket that holds the rod features 2.8mm holes which were subsequently enlarged to 3.1mm to fit the rod snugly. The rod itself is a precision-made 3mm carbon fiber component, capped with a 6mm bead at one end. This bead was securely attached using an adhesive. Between the two holes on the bracket, I added a small clip that was also glued in place to prevent the rod from coming loose. Notably, this clip is positioned closer to the lower hole.
