<p>This model allows you to upcycle your empty Prusament spool into a bedside table. The hole in the middle is useful for the cables of your phone charger.</p><p>It snap fits so i recommend using PETG to allow a bit of flexibility when you snap it into place.</p><p>The model fits the width of the Ikea Brimnes wooden panel (24mm) but i provided the source so you can adapt it for your own. Or let me know what width you would like to have so i can provide one for you.</p><p>How to print it:</p><ul><li>I recommend using PETG, haven't tried PLA though</li><li>it is designed to be printed on the side. It is not symetrical so make sure you orient it on the face as shown in the screenshot: both sides are <strong>not</strong> equivalent.</li></ul><figure class="image image-style-align-center image_resized" style="width:29.68%;"><img src="https://media.printables.com/media/prints/199313/rich_content/e062739e-2cfb-4b3c-a1ce-2042a4235e3b/capture-decran-2022-05-08-a-200643.png#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%228bb94acd-f338-4243-a920-9c8017cd52fa%22%2C%22w%22%3A1298%2C%22h%22%3A1618%7D"></figure><ul><li>use a 2mm brim to ensure good bed adhesion, as the contact surface is small and the model is tall. I had to reduce my original model to fit in my Prusa Mini, that is how tall it is.</li><li>print at regular speed, since the model is thin and tall it could wobble at higher speeds</li><li>don't use supports (i hate those guys)</li></ul><p>How to fit the Prusament spool into the print:</p><ul><li>check the alignment of the hexagon pattern. You want to fit the model perpendicular to the pattern's orientation:</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><figure class="image image-style-align-center image_resized" style="width:68.97%;"><img src="https://media.printables.com/media/prints/199313/rich_content/645a73d9-9062-4281-b800-39d2ff2804f2/capture-decran-2022-05-08-a-203238.png#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%22e40adf48-98e8-4fe9-bd19-3664d6ddfe63%22%2C%22w%22%3A2516%2C%22h%22%3A1152%7D"></figure><ul><li>once the model is snapped into the spool it is very difficult to remove, so make sure to double check before pushing</li><li>push hard</li></ul><p>if you like, you can add some drawers too with the following model: <a href="https://www.printables.com/model/120167-the-simplest-prusament-drawer-tower">https://www.printables.com/model/120167-the-simplest-prusament-drawer-tower</a></p><p>Just remove 2mm on the top of the drawers near the bed to avoid hitting the table support. You can do that with a negative volume directly in PrusaSlicer</p><figure class="image image_resized" style="width:72.28%;"><img src="https://media.printables.com/media/prints/199313/rich_content/f99edd4a-30ee-43b8-9c30-b425db98d2c6/prusament-drawer.jpeg#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%225c44ac56-135b-4a5f-880c-64de277307eb%22%2C%22w%22%3A1280%2C%22h%22%3A960%7D"></figure><figure class="image image_resized" style="width:72.44%;"><img src="https://media.printables.com/media/prints/199313/rich_content/c1563715-84ad-461c-b5b9-32cd9c324bd0/image.png#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%224ab3da8d-cd3a-4c2b-aa93-ee34444de3e2%22%2C%22w%22%3A1150%2C%22h%22%3A799%7D"></figure><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Big thank you to makers <strong>eurad</strong> and <strong>cisardom</strong> for the spool design i used for projection: <a href="https://www.printables.com/model/61508-prusament-spool-model-modified">https://www.printables.com/model/61508-prusament-spool-model-modified</a></p>
