Bee Hive Entrance Disks and Small Hive Beetle Excluders

This is a set of entrance tools. It begins with a 2 1/8" (55mm) hole (or smaller). The DISK cover rotates giving three options: 1. Small Hive Beetle excluder setting 2. Queen Excluder Setting 3. Vent Only Setting The other files here are for separate covers, which is my personal favorite way to go. Small Hive Beetle Excluder Cap Queen Excluder Cap Vent Cap Cap Shutting Entrance Note all these covers, including the rotating disk, use the same screw pattern so they are all interchangeable if you want to switch between them. Also note that the small hive beetle excluder design has sharp angles on all surfaces. THIS IS INTENTIONAL. Small Hive Beetle morphology, the structure of their shell, prevents them from easily crawling around sharp corners or indeed, getting around them at all. The sharp edges allow the guard bees to easily push them off or through the bottom slot, falling away from the hive. The "normal" way Small Hive Beetles enter a hive is by landing on the surface and just walking in. This design inhibits or prevents this altogether. Small Hive Beetles cannot hover like bees either so flying in the hole is very difficult for them as the open area for direct flight is small. VERY IMPORTANT: Print in white PETG only. Any other color will get very hot in full sunshine. PETG is also weather resistant. Print at 100% infill 0.3mm layer height with any nozzle 0.4mm or larger. The Disk and the individual Small Hive Beetle Excluder Cap files will print without support IF you have your printer absolutely dialed in, otherwise support for the center overhang gives a clean print. The small amount of money asked will help me do further research and develop designs for additional beekeeping equipment, including a completely 3d printed beehive currently in work.
