During normal operation the user turns the wheel forwards to operate a centrifugal fan. If one handed operation is required then by turning the handle backwards a sprag clutch will allow the engagement of a flat spiral spring. Once sufficiently wound the handle is released and the centrifugal fan will slowly revolve until the energy stored in the spring is dissipated. Combustible matter is placed into the spring loaded hatch as required. The design is intended to be sand cast with recycled aluminum.
