I've just begun to brew beer and I don't have any proper bottles yet. My first beer was a Porter and looked just about the same as Diet Coke. I didn't want people mistaking my beer for soda and then dumping it.

Slap one of these bad boys on your brew and scare your roommates / kids / wife / cleaning lady / burglar raiding your fridge.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Creality

Printer:

Ender 3 Pro

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.24

Infill:

10

Filament: Thrift Store Blue Light Special PETG Burnt Sienna

Notes:

UPDATE February 12, 2022:
New beta3 files. I found beta1 to be a bit too small in circumference and after a few brews / switcheroos, the labels snapped. I'm keeping them anyway as they still hang on the bottles.
I printed 3 of these yesterday and they were a tad tight but with the proper angle and pull, I popped each on a 500 mL plastic Diet Coke soda bottle.

I used PETG for this. Maybe you could experiment with PLA but I suspect the labels would snap as there is some resistance when putting one on the bottle.

Initially, I went with 1mm high but the ring snapped after a few bottle changes . Play with the infill / layer height as you see fit, just keep it as flexible as you can for easier lableling

How I Designed This

I took the source file in FreeCAD, chopped off the old label, and used Inkscape to extrude an SVG image. I had problems figuring out how to "super glue" the new friendly face on the label and finally just did surgery with the two separate exported object files in Prusaslicer.

Category: Kitchen & Dining
