Create custom math manipulatives for your daughter with different colored prints for each number. These tools are popular in special education, especially in the UK. For optimal results, print various sets of numbers on separate colors. Numerous activities can be done using these manipulatives, both commercial and free versions available. Examples include Numicon (http://www.numicon.com/) and Oxford University Press (https://global.oup.com/education/content/primary/teaching-support/pages/numicon1/?region=international). Additionally, these manipulatives are great for 3D printing practice as the parts require no structural support. The base is a 5x5 size to fit my printer, but now features slightly smaller pegs for more flexibility in placement. If possible, print multiple sets of each number on distinct colors and consider using a base. This set of math manipulatives offers versatility and educational benefits for special needs children.
