Hey meatbags, I made an 1-foot tall investment cast of Bender from Futurama for my Metals Processing class, and repurposed the CAD model for easy 3D printing. There is no shortage of printable Benders out there, but I wanted to try and make one that captured his attitude and proportions. There are three parts to his body: the legs, the torso, and the head. Each are their own separate file and can be press fit together, which greatly simplifies printing and painting. At 100% scale, this model is over a foot tall, including his antennae. The orange one in the photo is six inches tall, printed at 50% scale. My favorite feature of this model is that there are multiple versions of his eyes and mouth which can be printed and mixed and matched to change his expression. Included: - Normal Eyes - Angry Eyes - Squinting Eyes (Left) - Squinting Eyes (Right) which can all be used with: - Mouth - Mouth + Cigar YOU MUST PRINT HIS EYES AND MOUTH UNDER SIZE IF YOU WANT TO BE ABLE TO CHANGE THEM. I recommend printing his eyes and mouth pieces at 93-95%. All versions of his eyes have a sperate file for the base and pupils, and another for the eye balls themselves. This is to help you in assembly or painting to have very clean-looking eyeballs. I would also recommend sanding the prints smooth and removing all support material before assembly, which I didn't do completely on the orange version in the photographs. If you have any questions or requests, feel free to comment or make remixes of your own!
