WARNING! Please DO NOT download the files of this thing using the "Download All" or "Download All Files" buttons, because the .zip file that you would download this way contains an older version of the .stl file: use, instead, the "Download" button that you'll find clicking on "Thing Files" section. It is a Thingiverse issue that users cannot fix. This bolt-release shroud is to be installed under the bolt-release latch on first-generation Beretta 1301 Tactical, Beretta 1301 Competition and Beretta A400 to help prevent the bolt-release latch from being unintentionally pivoted backward, thus releasing multiple shells from the magazine into the receiver and jamming up the shotgun. You'll need a T10 Torx driver to unscrew/screw the bolt-release latch screw. This shroud is only compatible/needed with first generation Beretta 1301 Tactical and 1301 Competition or A400: on Gen 2 Beretta 1301 and A400 the shell dump malfunction has been fixed by re-designing the bolt-release latch. This potential malfunction is explained very well here: https://www.luckygunner.com/lounge/beretta-1301-tactical-update/ DISCLAIMER! PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SHROUD IF YOU TRUST YOUR LIFE TO YOUR SHOTGUN: I did not test it extensively enough, so I cannot guarantee that it will work properly in any condition, as I cannot guarantee that it will not jam up your shotgun. For instance: if dirt accumulates under or into the shroud, the gun may not be able to cycle correctly because the shroud could prevent the automatic movement of the bolt release latch during the cycle. Similarly, if dirt accumulates under or into the shroud, you may not be able to load any shell into the magazine, because the bolt release latch must be allowed to move backward when a shell is loaded. Please note that since loading shells into the magazine requires the bolt release latch to move backward, this shroud does not prevent in an absolute way the bolt release latch from moving backward (thus jamming up the shotgun): this shroud only makes it more difficult to unintentionally pivot backward the bolt-release latch. I think the same is also true for other shrouds like those sold by Beretta ($10) or Aridus Industries ($67). If you nevertheless decide to use this shroud, in no event will I be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, damages for jamming of the shotgun, failing to load shells, inability to cycle, and the like). So, please, BE CAREFUL!
