AIM To design a 3D concept which allows people to understand 3D printing capabilities within complex and small designs. This enabling them to explore streamlined designs compared to standard industrial patterns and forms. DESIGN DETAIL A bespoke concept created to house a 100 gram soap bar within a minimalist yet functional container. Design with 2 iterations of design characteristic and culture, these provide a range which users can download based on personal style and requirement. Designed in consideration of material waste and 3D print time, the designs were 3D modelled using the minimal amount of material required within reason. DESIGN MODEL INFORMATION Concept 1 - BOX A two part design which incorporates a water spillage storage unit and a easy to accss build for cleaning and 3D print purposes. Designed to be used for edcucational and experimental purposes, the user can place the wet soap bar in the container without mess around the container. Concept 2 - GRID A bespoke design created to illustrate the streamed line design movement within a concept, using long cut and curvature features which represent this. With a design feature which allows excess water to pass through the gaps, thisa reduces water damp and soap mess.
