When bettas breed, the male produces what is called a bubble nest. In nature they will create these nests under floating leaves. This artificial flower serves as the "floating leaf", allowing the betta to safely secure the eggs that nature has given him to protect! I hope this comes in handy for others! The flower was not my design. Credit where credit is due.
