***About*** These body fat calipers work great- no need to buy any. It's just two parts to print. Look up some Youtube videos on how to use them. The most important thing isn't getting an accurate reading of body fat percent. The most important thing is to measure consistently so that you can gauge your progress and compare your results day-to-day. That being said, I do believe these give really accurate results if you measure in several places and average it. ***Print Settings*** You can use pretty much any settings, but to make the measurements more clean and readable, I highly recommend the following if your slicer allows it (I use PrusaSlicer on my Ender 3 and I love it): * Only at the height where the measurements first start, to where they end: * Change extrusion width to 0.3mm. * Change wall line count to 1. * Change speed to something around 50mm/s or slower. If you are able to do the above, the letters will come out good. If your slicer doesn't allow it, then no big deal it will probably still come out fine, please share a make if you print this thing (: * For the measurement indicator, if the slicer isn't showing a good preview, try reducing extrusion width a small amount, I used 0.4mm for my 0.4mm nozzle. ***Post Printing*** * You may have to lightly sand the measurement arc to get it to glide open and close smoothly, and I recommend applying some wax from something like a tealight candle on the guide, it will help a ton with smoothness. * The smaller indicator piece can be scaled in the slicer to 99% or 101% if the tolerance is off, but 100% was perfect for my printer. You don't want it too loose or it will not stay in place after measurements. You also don't want it too tight to where it throws off the torque indicator. You want to get a decent squeeze on the fat. ***Design Stuff*** * The torque indicator was designed for PLA and it works really well. * The measurement arc is tapered into the guide slot to provide more rigidity and remove some unwanted flex/torsion. * The finger grips work well also, better than a lot of cheap ones online.
