Better display stand for cbabbage's Light Cycle kit
prusaprinters

I've modified the display stand from cbabbage's Light Cycle kit (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:22858), mainly to allow easy two-color printing. Since I didn't like the faceting on the sides, I re-modeled them, as I had to make the front larger to accommodate the inset logo/nameplate anyway. I've also added a slot in the top to hold the bike. That required me to enlarge the stand a bit more to keep the bike elevated above the table, which gave me an excuse to go a bit further and add a grid pattern on the front for decoration.

Since I haven't changed it, get the actual bike from the original Thing.

Print instructions

Licence: Creative Commons - Attribution - Non-Commercial - Share Alike Category: Vehicles Print Settings

Printer Brand: Prusa

Printer: Prusa Clone

Rafts: No

Supports: No

Resolution: 0.1 mm

Infill: 10-20%

Notes:

For normal printers, use the "flat" nameplate along with the base. For dual-extrusion, the base and the not-flat nameplate have crosshairs to make it easy to align the parts.

If you're printing the two parts separately, you may want to put a piece of tape over the logo/nameplate before you remove it from your bed, just to keep the pieces together until you can glue them.
