Bevel Gear Matched Pair Generator

Creates a matched pair of involute bevel gears with **adjustable shaft angle and gear ratio**. Because who needs only 1! If you find this helpful and would like to donate a smaller amount than the minimum thingiverse tip, please download a thank-you token for a very small fee. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/art/jimb15122-thank-you-token Thank You! **UPDATE 6/21/19 - This now incorporates a slightly modified version of Greg Frost's original implementation. (Thanks Greg for permission). This will now generate 3 stl files, one for each gear, and a combined one. It also adds a few more options for greater flexibility.** **UPDATE 8/6/19 - Fix occlusion when second gear has even number of teeth.** ==================================================================== **If you do not see a CUSTOMIZER button, select it under APPS.** This is a customizer wrapper over Greg Frosts fantastic **bevel_gear_pair()** MCAD library function. 1. There appears to be no way to actually specify the circumference of the gears. Probably for good reason, since the ratio between the sizes is locked in by the tooth counts. Just use uniform scaling of the stl file to get the size you need. 2. Use the **circular pitch** to control the relative thickness and circumference of the gears. Lower values give thicker gears. 3. Angles of 0 and 180 will not work. But try .001 for "virtually" flat gears. **Tip: Angles above 89 give cup shaped gears. e.g. try 135 vs 45.** *** The customizer preview may not always work, especially for very low axis angles. But the gears will still be generated properly. This occurs because the apex of the gear cones becomes extremely tall for shallow angles, and customer auto zooms to include the whole cone, and not just the part that remains after clipping the top off.*** Ps: If anyone knows how to make the customizer preview zoom, let me know.
