Christmas time is coming....!

I recently printed one of the nice fractal-design tealights in vase-mode and thought about some other design. To design this bevel gear was obvious for a mechanical engineer! ;) I haven't tried using a real candle yet and due to the flammable material I recommend using a LED light!

Hope you enjoy it! Merry Christmas everyone!

Update (28-11-2019): I added two more designs with less but bigger teeth to make it more look like a gears again. One comes with helical and the other one with straight teeth. But I have not tried printing them yet...

Update (29-11-2019): Printed the other two versions, too. They came out perfect! I posted pictures of them here. :)

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Creality

Printer:

Ender 3 Pro

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2 mm

Infill:

-

Filament: Renkforce PETG transparent

Notes:

I printed this design in vase mode (spiralize outer contour) with a 0.4 mm line width and a 1.2 mm bottom thickness.

How I Designed This ===================

For the basic shape of the bevel gear I used the automatic function in Autodesk Inventor to create gears with given parameters. After that I just modified the design a little bit to make it easier to print (especially for vase mode) and added some space for the LED candle.
