BFB Filament cutter knife

I was fed up with filament pieces that came with the extruder on the print even after cleaning the head on the BFB Touch wiper. So here is what makes life easier and cleaner. Instructions Download cutterfilament2.stl and print. I did mine in ABS. Layer thickness 0.5, Infill of 50%, 1 shell, no raft, no support. Then cut a little plate of aluminium (+-0.8mm thick)or anything else similar that will stand heat and be sharp enough, following the size and shape of cutterfilamentplate.stl. Drill two holes of 3mm in that plate following cutterfilamentplate.stl. Attach the plate/knife with two screws of 3mm to your cutterfilament2 print following my picture. Set in your printer at a distance of 5mm from the BFB touch wiper.best result found on my machine. Adapt to your machine: Make sure your the extruder head doesn't hit the knife but just slides along the blade. The extruder hole should be just by the edge of the blade. Now you are all set to print!
