Wanted to design a freighter from the X-wing series used Jackcrow's container (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:865773) as a start. The design was based on using a CR-90 stand set (cardboard and everything) This is updated to include more magnet points to allow a more secure fit to the ship. This is a work in progress Other ships shown are copyrighted by ffg and lfl AND or purchased from shapeways other models are not included. Instrustions Printing instructions (printed on makerbot 718 3 day rough print) Print Top and bottom, can put two boxcars (containers) side by side Box car parts (warning the bars included in the parts are not scaled right you will need to either scale them down length wise or cut them ( I cut mine but have not had the time to finish.) Assembly, May require drilling a little bit (depends on your machine) Freighter top and bottom get the 3 printed pins put in the center, superglue sand and green stuff as seen fit. Add magnets to 12 freighter slots (8.5 mm magnets from harbor frieght http://www.harborfreight.com/10-piece-rare-earth-magnets-67488.html ) green stuff as needed Add Bridges. Stand prep: Put a small helping of green stuff into the two stand tubes, wet stands with bits of water (for release) gently depress epic stand peg into tube, for best results set up stand with CR-90 stand set, then depress entire bottom sections assembled onto the stand and carefully remove (creates imprint of epic stand triangles) Box car assembly: 2x walker feet (what my kid calls em) and 1 bar cut to size (or printed) super glue together green stuff as needed.
