Bicycle Pump Holder (Full Sized)

Bicycle Pump Holder (Full Sized)

thingiverse

This is a bicycle pump holder for a traditional 'full sized' bicycle pump. It has been designed for a Marin Palisades Trail mountain bike but can easily be modified for other makes. Print the parts on their side to limit overhangs. The holder needs to be a reasonably good fit on the pump. So I have printed one end just slightly smaller than my actual pump diameter. Then warmed the print in some very hot water before forcing the end of the bicycle pump into the cup. This formed a very close fit which prevents rattles. You may also use this trick to ensure that the holder hugs the top tube closely. I used nylon cable-ties to affix the holders to the bicycle frame cross-bar. Using cable ties does not mark the frame although you may like to put some tape on the frame first as dirt and grit could get under them. You could modify the design to incorporate a small enclosure for some 'leeches' (tyre repair patches). See photos for the assembly
