Bicycle rack adapter for backpacks - use any backpack as a pannier

thingiverse

This simple item solves the problem of hanging a backpack on your bicycle rack without using additional straps, panniers, or anything else. Small, lightweight, easy to print and does the job. Perfect if you are picking up your kids from (pre)school and want to help them with their backpack. Two versions included: - V1 - with shorter hooks, better suited for racks with a smaller rod diameter *(tested with an old Koga Miyata bike with a rack made of thin rods)* - V2 - a bit longer hook and shorter base, suited to fit Gazelle Innergy rack *(that's the one on the photos)* Source file for Fusion 360 included as well - feel free to tweak it to fit your rack! I've printed mine on the side, with supports, using 0.25 layer height, 4 perimeters and 50% infill - with PET-G. Source file for Fusion 360 available here: https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/154775-bicycle-rack-adapter-for-backpacks-use-any-backpac *Keep in mind that this design was not yet heavily tested for its load capacity. I've only tested it twice with my daughter's school backpack and it did the job. You might want to tweak your print settings to achieve higher durability.* **Remember to secure any loose strap! Otherwise it might end up tangled in the wheel!**
