Bicycle Travel Trailer.Concept of a bicycle travel trailer. I designed this travel trailer for cyclists who like to travel. There are a number of possibilities. First: there is simple frame with a ball joint. It fit on most bikes. Second: there is a complete luggage rack and a ball joint. Advantage of a ball joint is flexibillity in all directions. Third: there are two suitcases. One with a volume of appr. 50L and one with a volume of appr. 85L. The 85L suitcase has two partitions.Both suitcases are easy to click on to the bike with a ball joint. If the suitcase is click on the bike, you can secure it with a hairpin clip or a padlock. The suitcases are equipped with reflectors on the back and on the left and right side. The suitcases has a build-in light. Light works on two AAA 1.5volt batteries. You can switch the light on or off. The switch has a reed contact. The light is splash watertight. You can lock the suitcase.The angle of the suitcase is neutral, which means there is less pressure on the ball joint and have less influence on steering behavior. (I think)The suitcase can stand vertical. It’s easy to move the suitcase by hand.The case has two 12” wheels with tyres 12”x1.75 (305x47). Each wheel has two bearings: SKF 61901-2RS1. The wheels ar easy to disassemble. Total weight of the travel trailer is between 8 and 10 kilograms. The suitcase is splash watertight.Material of the suitcase and the wheels are polycarbonate. Metal parts are made of aluminium. All parts are durable and can be recycled.(All measurements are based on my own bike).Enjoy your holiday!
