BID Bit Bar

BID Bit Bar

The other day i was shopping and saw a Big Idea Design bit bar and I really liked the design, but me being a broke teen could not afford to spend $100 on it. So I hopped on Fusion360 and designed my own. It uses just regular standard hex bits and holds 4 of them. I don't know what size screws I used i found them in a box, but the 4 screw holes are 2.7 mm in diameter. It uses just random pen springs, stiffer/longer ones seem to work better. As long as it has an inner diameter of 2 mm at least it'll most likely be fine. Try and get the two same springs so it's not stiffer on one side then the other. Print with supports and smaller layer height for maximum strength. I included the f3d file for you to mod it as much as you, you can make it fit different bits or what not. If you make it please post a make and let me know how it works, I'd love to know how yall feel about this and how it works for you. Also obviously if you try and torque on a screw too hard you will round out the spot where the bit goes because it is just plastic, so don't tighten anything to tight with it.
