Designed to accept a 50mm strip of LEDs and angle them at 45' to light up the print / nozzle area under Big Blue and the Fan-Duct Mk1. The LED strip is easily available either on a spool or in short lengths. Here I am using some Ultra Bright Led stip that runs off 12Vdc, and is wired in to the Fan supply. The LED Light Beam can be used with either of my two Fan-Duct designs, and some other Cooling assemblies. Either end of the beam is an arch the covers up and protects The electrical connections. The LED Light Beam shown was printed using Big Blue, for use on Big Blue.. Instructions The LED Light Beam was originaly designed to be glued along the bottom edge of the Big Blue Mk3 Fan-Duct. The best glue for this is 5 minute apoxy resin. After printing, use needle files to clean out the two protection arches. You might want to give the 45' mounting area for the LEDs a coat of acrilic clear varnish, or nail vanish to give the sticky backing of the LED strip something to cling to. Solder your connecting wires to the strip, and with the backing still on the stick side of the strip, insert it align it so that the connections will be hidden under one of the arches. Then remove the backing and press the Led strip on to the Beam. Next glue the Led Light beam in to the desired position using 5 minute apoxy resin.
