Big Flat Square for Bed Level ZStep and Extrusion

Yes, this is just a big flat square, but it is very important for making sure the bed is level, the z steps distance between the nozzle and bed is correct and whether flow or extrusion is at the accurate level. Bed Level - start printing this square. If a corner is not as smooth as another, then adjust that corner of the bed. Move to the next corner, until everything appears to be smooth. Z Steps - start printing this square. If nothing prints, determine if the nozzle is too high by lowering the z height from the printer's control panel. If nothing prints, the it could be the opposite the nozzle is too close. Again, use the z height option in the printer's control panel to raise the nozzle. Keep adjusting the distance by small steps until a nice even pattern is being produced. Flow/extrusion - start printing this square. As it begins to print diagonally across the square look for missing filament. If there are spaces between the lines, then check that the filament is being smashed onto the bed. If it starts off looking good and then degrades as the square gets filled in, then it could be a clogged nozzle or PTFE tube issue. Enjoy! -D3
