Big Lure Turner

Big Lure Turner

This is a large lure turner, I am using a disco ball motor for the motor but you could easily modify this design to use a rotisserie motor as well. All of these pieces were designed with fusion 360 and printed with simplify 3d on a heavily modified (for safety) Anet A8. I printed the design in PETG but I don't see why it wouldn't work with PLA. I used PETG to have a little bit more strength. I printed the couplers in 100% infill and all the other parts at 10% with 3 perimeters. Things you will need for this project: - A motor with a stand to match the height of the stand for the turner. - 1 608 bearing - 16" (350 cm) or smaller piece of EMT 1/2" conduit for the shaft of the turner. - 1 2" codder pin if your motor allows. - CA glue (super glue) of your choice. - a 3d printer...kind of a given here... I have made a video of this project if you are interested: https://youtu.be/hNxEQzfX3-g 1. To assemble the printed parts glue the arms onto the couplers after they snap in. 2. Then glue the couplers to your EMT in the length you want, I found the easy way to align the couplers was to set them on a flat surface in an X with the EMT between and then glue it together laying sideways this insures that the arms are all at the same angle. 3. Press fit the bearing into the back coupler recess or glue in depending on clearance your printer provides (more lose glue in outer race). 4. Set your motor's shaft at the same height as the stand and secure motor in place. 5. If your motor shaft is slightly larger I have included a cover extension you can try which has a larger diameter and can slip over the coupler shaft. You can also use this if the original one becomes broken somehow (i tried drilling out the original it became too lose) I made the coupler so I didn't have to reprint the whole thing. Any questions please leave them down in the comments. All the best! E
