not compatible with the d-pad it's a remix of, as I changed several dimensions to increase some clearances. the inside part is angled slightly to better lie even with the shell as I found it hard to press UP on the previous one without it bumping. the square base one is untested so far but is intended to make it easier to hit the cardinal directions as the leverage caused by having the pads be so far inward from the edges of the D-Pad made it difficult for me
