Bike Bottle Cage Adapter (1 mount holds 3 bottles!)

Bike Bottle Cage Adapter (1 mount holds 3 bottles!)

thingiverse

This allows a single bottle mount on a bike to hold 3 bottles. It's useful if you only have a single bottle mount, or if you need to carry more water for long trips. Take off the bottle cage, put the adapter on, and then put the bottle cage on top of the adapter, with the bolts going through both into the threaded holes in the frame. This design requires separate bottle cages, which can be purchased inexpensively or even 3D printed. The extended bottle cages can be mounted with small screws and nuts, or can be glued directly to the adapter with superglue. At the end with no bolts connecting it to the bike frame, I recommend a zip tie around the frame to hold it sturdy. This shouldn't be mounted on the seatpost, because it will get in the way of your legs when you are pedaling. There are two versions, the original and one that has been cut for printing on smaller printers. If you print the cut one, you can glue the two pieces together with superglue. Let me know in the comments if you have any recommendations or if you make any revisions. Thanks, and enjoy your extra water!
